On February 26, 2026, a regular meeting of the Advisory Council (AC) was held, which was established on the basis of the Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research (CAIER).
The expert discussion was chaired by Aselle Tasmagambetova, ecologist, Chair of the AC, and founder of CAIER (Kazakhstan). The meeting was attended by representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, and the delegation from Kyrgyzstan was reinforced.
CAIER experts also participated in the event: Dmitry Metelyov, Secretary of the SC meeting; Victoria Krylova, PhD, Head of the CAIER Research Department; Danila Uvarov (Kazakhstan), Project Coordinator. - Igor Shenberger, Head of the CAIER Water Resources Department.
The meeting introduced a new member of the Council and discussed the status of efforts to attract donors for the implementation of project initiatives and the regional master plan for water resources management, as well as the SC's work program for 2026.
