Future specialists at CAIER: a report on the school visit for Shoqan School
On 14 April, CAIER hosted a tour for pupils from the Shoqan Ualikhanov Private School (Shoqan School). During the visit, the pupils learnt about the institute’s activities and its key areas of work.
Almas Kulumbetov, Managing Director of CAIER, and Victoria Krylova, Head of the Research Department and Candidate of Geographical Sciences, prepared interesting presentations for the future young professionals on the institute’s work in efficient water use, waste recycling, large-scale biodiversity conservation projects and ESG projects. Asem Syrlybay, Head of ESG Project Development, MSc in Project Management, CFA ESG Investing, and Yerkeulan Kazhdarov, ESG Specialist.
The students shared their plans for the future and showed particular interest in the Institute’s patented developments, including a rainwater harvesting device, a method for producing building materials from oil production waste, and others.
Renat Tusupbaev, Head of the CAIER Environmental Monitoring Laboratory and PhD in Chemical Engineering, organised a tour of the Institute’s high-tech laboratory for the schoolchildren.
