The environmental initiative held on May 30 brought together Danone, the Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research (CAIER), Zhasyl Almaty, Частная школа Шокана Уалиханова, and ESG Alliance.
The initiative aims to promote a culture of environmental responsibility within the business community and encourage greater corporate participation in urban sustainability efforts.
As part of the event, participants cleaned the area surrounding Sairan Lake, attended a short training session on waste sorting, and took part in tree-planting activities.
The organizers emphasize that this is only the beginning. Additional environmental clean-up events involving businesses, civil society organizations, and local communities are planned throughout the year across Almaty.
