CAIER conducted ESG trainings for Tajikistan companies

The Central Asian Institute for Environmental Studies (CAIER) in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan successfully conducted a series of online training sessions for Tajik companies on the implementation of ESG principles and preparation for national sustainability disclosure standards.

The first session, held on 15 January, focused on the significance of the climate agenda and its growing impact on business. Participants discussed key climate risks and opportunities for companies, as well as ways to adapt to new sustainability requirements. The second session, held on 26 February, covered international ESG disclosure standards, including practical aspects of materiality assessment.

The trainings were an important step towards strengthening sustainable business practices in Tajikistan. Companies received useful tools to integrate ESG principles into their operations, which will increase their preparedness for new regulatory requirements.

CAIER would like to thank all participants for their active participation and constructive discussions. We are confident that the implementation of ESG standards will become a significant driver for the development of responsible business in the region.
